New menu structure on the member's web site

You cant secure Brave. Probably it is nothing, most of users don't even care. I know some people who love Brave. Don't worry about menu. I though you can set it so process of logging out is handled by your server. As said I don't know much about web designing. Logging in and out works well on...

New menu structure on the member's web site

Pale Moon is an old Firefox, before those major changes happened. It is nicely configurable and can be proofed well, at least to my knowledge. I suppose it doesn't have all whistles but I don't care much about that. Look for community, there are plenty of knowledgeable people there.

    New OptionVue features this year

Rebuilding it from scratch sounds good. If they know what they are doing OV may become a good analytical piece of software. Not sure what do you mean about breaking relationships. I hope they do honor previous commitments or at least canceling them in civilized manner. I remember those talks...

New menu structure on the member's web site

I use Firefox and Pale Moon but both are proofed. I temp allowed bootstrap and slackpath.bootstrapcdn and still no effect. They must pull dependencies from somewhere else. It wotks if I allow everything. Without this I don't even see an icon. If you want I can investigate more, but I wouldn't...

    New OptionVue features this year

For what I know both are similar. Main difference is in interface. ONE suppose to be more user friendly but I didn't work with OV so can't say, beside it is personal. I had ONE for couple years. It is fine software if you do what what ONE was designed for, if you want to go your way even in the...

New menu structure on the member's web site

Tom, good to see you are putting work to maintain Aeromir's web page. Thank you for that. On TG1 I mentioned Log Out problem (missing Log Out option, and all other option from drop down as well). I see you added Log Out button. It doesn't solve the problem though. Both drop down menu and...

    Implied volatility of option expirations

Jim, very nice piece of software you have. Work you do is important and can give us some guidance but I can't help you with decoding IV's in a sence what will happen or what IV's think it will happen. I think nobody can do that in a fully objective manner. I don't use IV examination in my...

Ideas from The Second Leg Down book.

Hi gariki. Thank you very much for your 2 cents. They do have weight. I agree with your thought that simpler is better most of the time. Buying teenies (when appropriate) is a decent practice but, imo, effectiveness of this technique depends on type of portfolio you want to hedge. Main issue is...

    Implied volatility of option expirations

Jim, everything is fine with IVs. November and December vols are elevated - the skews for those months are shifted up, ie. they are higher on the graph then they would be if no event was on horizon. VIX is calculated from the whole chain/chains. The VIX futures 'hump' does not indicate that Nov...

Ideas from The Second Leg Down book.

Oh, I don't try keep it secret. What I try to trade is nothing new. I trade the markets rather than strategies. It is hard to explain without getting into longish and convoluted explanations on my side. I think others can do it much better. To give some example and connect to the book. Krishnan...

Ideas from The Second Leg Down book.

Hi Steve, reading the book first, before watching videos, is actually a good approach, imo. Basically in presentation he briefly touches main points of his book, so watching videos after, you get a nice summary and you understand more of what he is talking about. I suggest watching also old...

    Implied volatility of option expirations

Thanks, I have very similar setting. The reason of my amazement must be that I don't look at chains in Trade Tab (even not detached) but in Analyze where there is positions widow present covering bottom part of the screen. How much do I get used to my setup/workflow that simple things like that...

Side question. Gary I'm amazed of number of series you can capture on the picture. Can you tell something about your monitors arrangement? Do you have monitors in vertical orientation?

Ideas from The Second Leg Down book.

Hmmm... Let me say that being bad speaker myself I enjoyed both Mr Krishnan’s and Ron’s talks. In Krishnan I like calmness, knowledge and sticking to the topic. He stayed focused during the whole presentation and Q&A. In Ron’s talk I recognize easiness of speech and good self confidence, which...

Ideas from The Second Leg Down book.

Just finished watching recording of late Raleigh Durham Group Meeting with Mr Hari Krishnan. Regret I couldn't participate live. I red the book while ago and bit forgot about it. His trading ideas are not necessary directly translated to my, retail account where I implement different strategies...

    python gui programming

This is a tough one. It's tough for many reasons that don't need to be listed now. Few of us here have quite an experience in creating apps and undoubtedly are able to handle heavy lifting but I propose to start small and simple, if we are to start at all. Maybe let's look at some minuscule...

    How To question

From memory. One way to close a trade was to right click on options chain and choose 'close all trades'. Ten you have to manually change prices of legs in log. I didn't deal with assignments, As I remember you can manually insert stock position in upper row above chains. I hope it is easier in...

SG, I will help you to go through, just not today. I have some sort of emergency going on. I suggest to remove your e-mail from public view. Even if it is dummy mail you don't want it to be flooded with spam. Scraper bots are vigilant. I will pm you hopefully tomorrow. If you manage to get to CD...

    python gui programming

I think this is no problem. As long as you want to put your some effort and don't expect others to do work for you, I think it's fine. You may have some interesting ideas to share that can benefit everybody. No, wrapper is not necessary. There are couple tutorials about how to start with...
