Can you clarify? -- Are you talking about an account transfer incentive (Cash up front based on account size), or an annual interest rate on cash in account? I expect the latter, but have fingers crossed for the former!

TDA plans to add fees to option contracts?

He indicated their 0.65 per contract FEE covered the exchange fees and there were no "commissions"! He seemed to also be perplexed with why TDA decided to push out their new SPX fees at this time! (However, as someone else stated earlier, we have nothing cast in stone to protect from future...

    G-Tool proposed change

I should also point out that I added an additional value to entry reports in the STATIC position assessment section: Shown in RED below (will not be red in the reports) ------------ 1: Evaluating a (45/60 {lower div upper->1.33}) +16 SPXW200221P3145/-32 SPXW200221P3100 /+16...

TDA plans to add fees to option contracts?

Just spoke with Schwab regarding commissions/fees. They charge 65cents total fees, but may negotiate that down some with large account size. That 0.65 cents sounds great for SPX. (same as I currently get with TDA (for one more day)!

    G-Tool proposed change

FYI: Today's "late session" reports (Risk Reversals & Entries) should include both (monthlies and weeklies for 3rd Friday expirys)! -- If I don't encounter issues with this, I may leave this configuration, allowing phase out of the Monthlies later. Also, for the users interested in the...

Amen! > $1 per contract total costs (for SPX) is like bringing back slavery! (both may meet with significant resistance)

@RandyS : Can you confirm that Fidelity will NOT pass on the Exchange Fees for SPX and SPXW option trades? (If true, then it seems Fidelity may the the only broker not passing the Exchange fees on after the new year!) Reading between the lines, I am guessing that " jacked my costs up almost...

    G-Tool proposed change

The G-Tool currently reports Monthly Expirations over that of the Weeklies expiring on the same date (3rd Friday of each month). Beginning January 2nd, TDA will begin passing the Exchange Fees on to customers, where they have not been doing that for many of us thus far. The Exchange fees for...

    General Discussion on Option Modelling

Regarding: "I'm not sure what 'unknowns' you are referring to at the beginning of your post. "... The unknown, I intended to refer to is the unknown Volatility at each "underlying" price along every T+n line! -- We are using a fixed value with EIOIO, Sticky IV, Sticky Strike, Sticky Delta, and...

    General Discussion on Option Modelling

@Marcas : I think we are in agreement, that "... along the T-n lines" (which includes along the t-0 line) introduces many unknowns (which is beyond the scope of what I wish to address currently). My point is to merely zero-in a bit more on what we do know. Below I include two plots of a...

    General Discussion on Option Modelling

I think you must be referring to a different topic, since you make reference to "T0" being improved. T0 represent no change to time (ie Now). My reference was for "volatility estimates", which infer at a time in the future, as present time value is known (can be simply derived) {Simply may not...

    General Discussion on Option Modelling

Bruno: A penny for your thoughts for small "improvement" on future volatility "assumptions". I have been using "sticky-strike" for baseline implied volatility estimates for a few years, which is similar to what TOS does with iiv, and OV with EIOIO. This basically is an acknowledgement that we...

TDA plans to add fees to option contracts?

I'v been using "BIL", the 1-3mo T-Bill ETF to function as my vehicle for this. Now the fee (commission) is 0 and no penalties or in/out time restrictions. The annualized rate can change, but is about 2%. "https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/bil/" Easy to keep all but about $100 in it. You have to...

TDA plans to add fees to option contracts?

Please post any updates you discover. From what TDA updated me today... They will not be considering (Index option) commission reductions regardless of volume or account sizes! -- Last week they hinted that account size and volume may allow some reduction of the commission. I am not eager...

    Fill Quantity

I do not have the facts on precisely how order flow works, but guessing that the algorithm (there may be multiple algorithms with brokerage quirks that make it difficult to fully understand) may go something like this. Considering only one side, say the ASK (we are wishing to sell some...

    Fill Quantity

Hm! I never enter market orders with options. So, do I understand correctly that your orders were market orders? I always use Limit orders, then work the price to get the fill. I am paranoid that a market order may take me to the cleaners! (but also expect my paranoia, may be unjustified...

    Fill Quantity

While my observations may not be identical topic... I observed some option trades that were not getting filled, until I reduced the lot size. Now, if I have the time, I work the orders by beginning with small size (1-lot) to insure my orders percolate toward the top of the heap. -- This...
