    Schwab on TOS

From what I understand from other users who have been converted, you can look, but not trade. ToS for Schwab will display your positions and let you view charts, but the functionality is not fully implemented yet. Kind of a rock and hard place for someone who has already had their account...

    TOS running slow ?

Raise your RAM/Memory settings for the application, if you are able. It's that same gear icon in the lower right (left?) on the login screen.

a pop up box when RTD changes value?

@TonyW as @jim leahy suggests, it takes another cell to perform a calculation from that incoming RTD feed. That Sub that you posted is designed as an Event Handler which is looking for a change to take place in the target F4 cell. The RTD updates aren't triggering that change. If you create...

    TOS/TDA Transition to Schwab

I really like IBKR, especially the executions. I've been with them for years. What's bothersome is the slowly eroding landscape of competition as some of these firms get consolidated. Less competition hurts and limits us as traders.

Is XSP a viable trading product vs. SPY?

Additionally, I can see that if someone has a hedging strategy using SPX options, the XSP might offer a finer granularity, e.g. a 6-lot XSP order instead of a 1-lot SPX Put or using a long Call in something like an M3 equivalent trade in SPX if someone didn't want to put the long hedge quite so...

Is XSP a viable trading product vs. SPY?

Thanks for sharing, @Steve G ! I stay exclusively in SPX, but I've wondered about XSP. Liquidity and volume, not so much it seems. I don't know the pricing, but I expect that commissions and fees would be much higher in percentage terms as well.

    TOS/TDA Transition to Schwab

Unfortunately, this will hurt or eliminate trading things like the Rhino or @AmyM 's Time Zone trades in a SCHW account. Also, this impacts many of the adjustment strategies like adding a Calendar below a BWB if the market runs below the tent. Also, Calendarizing a long strike on a Butterfly...

    TOS/TDA Transition to Schwab

I see the same. I have both brokerage and IRA accounts at TDA and separately, at SCHW. I think this margining is going to be timed on the transition and merge of the accounts. I'm guessing later, as you suggest. I'll be interested to see if Portfolio Margin accounts get a bit of relief from...

Is anyone running ONE on Windows 11 at this point?

@Steve G and @AmyM are the two best authorities on any workaround. The last I knew of, I think Steve has moved over to Option Trader's Assistant (https://optiontradersassistant.com/) and isn't using ONE, and Amy was connecting from her Mac to a Windows machine (possibly cloud instance) to be...

    ONE real-time order placement

Once you get to a point with ONE/IBKR that you trust your orders, you can uncheck the "Confirm" setting in TWS. That way, when you click "Send without Save" in the Commit dialogue box in ONE, your order goes immediately to TWS and posts into the market. Make sure of your Mid-pricing, and...

Options Pricing ,having a look to the other side...(Akuna Capital)

Wow! That is some old Excel and VBA to run their simulation on, maybe C#. I haven't seen buttons and UI like that in many years. I hope, but doubt, that they are using more modern tools for managing their live book in real time. Thanks for calling this out and sharing the link, @Tb2018 ...

    Calculating option profits

I do this by spreadsheet. At its essence, P&L is the summation of all of your option positions' current price less or plus what you entered at. Your total P&L decomposes into each of those trades, keeping the closed trades in that total. Depending on your brokerage, you might be able to use...

    Local Meet Ups

Hi All, @jpluto and @srk I'm a year late, and so very sorry. For some reason, I didn't get the notification or somehow missed the update. I'd love to meet up with you both, as I do get down to the valley fairly often. Are you still interested in getting together? @jpluto what part of PHX...

Any ONE user(s) using the beta of v2 yet?

I've been using v2.0.75 Beta on ONE every day since a few days after it was released in mid-May. All good, no issues. Win 11 Pro 2H22. The Beta version has so many features that I really appreciate and have gotten used to over the last year that I've been running it for my regular trading as...

Is anyone running ONE on Windows 11 at this point?

Hi All, I know we covered this in another thread, but I'm repeating this here to follow up on Remote Desktop as a solution: I bought a mini PC from Amazon (Beelink SER5) which is often on sale ($459 right now, I grabbed it for $409 earlier), and this is but one example. It has 32Gb of RAM, a...

    /ZB tracking

The 30 year bonds are going to be trading in 1/32nds, or ticks. Each point in /ZB is $1000, so a tick is valued at $31.25. This will be a bit confusing at first, but will shortly become second nature. I suspect your quote is showing 14 ticks or the zero handle (120?) plus 14/32nds, or 0.4375...

The hosting company is dealing with an internet attack

Hi @tom, I did notice the slower entry to the site and the Cloudflare challenge to the browser. I'm wondering about the traffic: that works out to 6 requests per minute during that time frame. Does that qualify as an attack or could that be some polling or keep-alive program pinging the site...

    OptionVue Closing

I'm fairly sure that the lack of backfill data from the current day is an exchange-driven policy. If the vendor collected data during that day rather than retrieve the historical from the exchange or data provider, then it could be available. I think that gets into redistribution agreements...

    OptionVue Closing

@Mark17, the several automated backtesters that I've tried are very good at the rote and basic historical "run-throughs" to assess an options combo structure. Those give me an idea of whether the underlying, say 80/70 BWB DTE11 for example, might do better than breakeven over the last few years...
