Position delta after hours on SPX

I am not sure, but I suspect that Thinkorswim now updates SPX prices after hours using market data, but it does not update greeks (because SPX value is not know)

    VIX Trading

Short answer - yes, you can sell it any time during normal trading hours. The long answer - I would recommend to play with small amounts of capital for the start. VIX options are not the same as options for traditional stocks. VIX options are priced after VX futures for given expiration and VX...

    OptionVue Feature Requests

And one extra request from me: - This probably will be covered in web version, but if web version is not available, then I would like my positions to be synchronized between multiple devices.

    OptionVue Feature Requests

I would like to see - future options, given that futures may have different expirations too - ability to work with positions after hours. Right now it is very painful in ONE overnight or on weekend.

    Bad data in ONE ?

yeah, Amy said multiple times that prices in ONE close to EOD often are "goofy". I try to look at 15:30 at the latest in historical backtesting

Question RE: SPX options with Schwab and Tastyworks

Execution is very decent, but I did not try 50+ contracts. Commissions actually I think is better than in tastyworks. tastyworks takes $0.5 to open + $0.75 fee + $0.75 fee to close. Schwab takes $0.65 to open and $0.65 to close and no fee.

    Alternatives to ONE

I need to understand where to get reliable real-time datafeed, and also where to get historical data with reasonable intra day resolution. CBOE has it, but it costs like $100k per year of data or so. So the cost of data will be primary limiting factor what cost of membership could be.

    Alternatives to ONE

Hi guys. I am thinking about an idea to create software that would be like OptionNetExplorer, but web based, so you can use it from any browser and it is not operating system depended. Do you think there would be interest for this software?

SPX options fees in Tastyworks vs TOS

Amy passed the code to everybody, I have 0.50$ per leg to open. There is fee breakdown it makes $1.27 open leg. and I hope they respect $0 fee to close, so the whole roundtrip will be $2.04 If you are interested, ask Amy for the code, she offered it to everyone

SPX options fees in Tastyworks vs TOS

What is unclear what happens if you have more than 10 legs in SPX, because Tasty has this claim : ($10 max per leg) It is unclear if this is applied for SPX or not. Also Amy distributed a code that would allow you to have $0.5 to open instead of $1.0 (again I need to check if this is applied...

    SPX VIX AFTER HOURS

I've asked TOS, this is their response: " At this time we have made a business decision not to offer SPX options trading in the new expanded extended session. When making this decision we consider factors such as cost, liquidity, and demand. We will continue to monitor the situation and if the...

    Reality Check

From my perspective during this year small dips are very aligned with MOPEX (Monthly Options Expirations), and during these periods we also have droping breath, which shortly recovers after MOPEX. so I personally bullish starting Monday 11/22/21 and waiting for Santa Clause rally express to pick...

    Black Scholes Model

@DaveJ Thank you for sharing! The biggest question for me is where to take volatility number, especially if I am to try to calculate options prices for the past date. Do you know how to deal with it?

Is the Schwalbe trade suitable for beginners?

You can, but in this case you will depend on Igi to do advanced tracking, which he does quite well and explains every Monday meeting. However if you want to do analysis by yourself, without ONE it will be quite complicated.
