I agree with Marcas 100%.Also take note :(IMHO) They(Most Mentors) are selling you the dream of making money, quitting the day job,live forever on yours saving.....for short they are good at marketing! The problem is they are not TRADING (With few exceptions.......)but they make money "teaching...

TIP:to get an idea of the relation (MARGINS/RETURN/RISK) choose a tenor(let's say 1 week DTE) on any liquid underline and see the premium of selling an ATM straddle ..and you have it, this is the best way to get a good understanding of what options price is all about.........

Options are expression of the probability ..so you make your bet and manage the risk................

When you trade options ,you are trading "the market Premium(alias IMPLIED VOLATILITY). or put it this way: The bid is "cheap" and the ASK is "EXPENSIVE!

There are no "cheap or expensive " options....you will always have Mr.Market telling you the value......

IMHO just buy excel...don't waste your time using the google version.......if you cannot afford the "investment" for the software ...than probably trading is not for you!

Be aware that with tradestation you will have to by data subsciptions ,and they are very expensive...

My advice If you are "new to Options" start with a different underline and live VIX alone for now!

Hi, orders executions are very fast ,big size not a problem ,commissions in line with IB and TD(part of Schwab group).

Note:SPX is a derived index of the S&P 500 so outside regular hours Options prices will take as underline SPY and ES mini futures(taking into account the price difference between them,today spx/esmini is around 1usd.because ESZ21 will expire soon, after will be around 10usd ).

LET me clarify again: TOS: you can see the extended SPX,VIX trading values.BUT YOU CAN'T TRADE ! IB you can SEE the EXTENDED and you CAN TRADE ! NOTE THAT WHEN MARKET FOR SPX IS OUTSIDE REGULAR HOURS THE ONLY REFERENCE(ARBITRAGE)IS THE ES(FUTURES)CONTRACT!

Regarding Liquidity: still very bad .....but I'm sure it will get much better (they just started 21 Nov 2021 ). The point is that TOS now is updating the P&L in line with futures during the extended session and you can have a better idea of your risk.
