ONE updated for Mac M1 chips

Just got this email from ONE this morning about an update for anyone trying to run ONE on the new Macs with the Apple M1 chips. Sounds like it's still a bit of a work in progress, but here's the email I got:

I wanted to follow up on this ticket to let you know that we are making available two new versions (both 32 bit) which are compatible with MacOS M1 chipset running Windows 11 in Parallels. We still have some work to complete on the performance (especially at startup, so please be patience if you have a large account) but they are available to download from our website now
 
This is really great to hear, @AmyM. Although I don't trade from an Apple ecosystem, I do use ONE, and I find it reassuring and confidence-inspiring in this vendor that they are being responsive and continuing to develop the platform to keep up with newer technologies.

Yes. I was discouraged by the push back they gave about this issue for so long and was getting concerned about the future of ONE, so it's good to see this update:)
 
As an FYI - I have had ONE running on my M1 Mac in the 32 bit mode months ago, but if you have more than 5-7 trades open, it just chokes. The developers suggest the 64 bit version, but it does not yet run on the M1.

Which version the 32 bit beta or 32 bit regular? And which versions of windows and parallels are you using? Is it working smoothly other then the multiple trades open issue? Thanks!
 
I often have 15-25 trades open at a time across 3 accounts, so I could not use it and gave up trying.

At the time I tried it a few months back - I tried both the regular and Beta versions and the regular version seems fairly stable (again with only a few open trades) and the Beta version would open, but was hit and miss on crashing.

I was on Windows 11 and I think Parallels 17 at the time, but not 100% on the parallels version.

Thanks Steve. I may give it a try since I don't have as many trades open at a time. Want to get my new Mac:) My old one is running slow and the fan is always going. Thanks for the info!

The new Mac's are AWESOME, very fast, very quiet, my fan has never kicked on in about 1 year of use at this point. You will love it.
