Hi Tb2018, not sure if I read you before - your nick sounds familiar.
I do not know your trading style but from brief description above it seems that you know what you are doing -a style which is opposite to many other strategies. Opposite in its core not in particular trades.

Do you plan to give more details about the workshop? It looks like we are trading somewhat similar way, I wonder if there are new elements in your approach that I miss on my end. On the other hand I don't want to overcomplicate something that is simple.

I would like to learn more about your offer, including price.. :)

It appears you are leaving a lot of information out of your presentation e.g. trade history record, workshop cost. I'm somewhat reluctant to sign up for something like this with out more information. I know there are other you tube videos that will cover a trade similar to this.

I say I found only a sales pitch there. Not that it is bad, but it was not what I was looking for.

The method you plan to teach in your workshop, as I understand it, is indeed quite different form "old school teaching style". I would not say, as you did in the presentation, that it is suited for newbie options traders. One needs to have rather good understanding of volatility surface and how vol relates to various option structures. By "understanding" I mean understanding "the why". For example, if one does not buy calendar spreads in high vol environment with a backwardation, he is doing right thing (typically), but if that call comes only from following some rule, then I don't consider it as "understanding". This knowledge is typically not with new traders, so I say it's bit more advanced class.

There are couple others who teach this trading approach, that I know of. I was looking for some new techniques - there are always new tricks to learn - but did not found signs of those in the presentation.
Maybe, at some point in the future, consider doing a Round Table presentation, maybe showing one of your typical trades for example. or anything more substantial. I always enjoy good teachers.

So, I pass the Workshop for now, but from what I can deduct it's a good one, worth the commitment of a traders' time. (If the price is reasonable.)
I can only wish you had this course few years back, it might speed up my trading paths tremendously.

To be clear. The Workshop is a black box to me, I do not have any insights what's in it nor what results it yields.

Hi Tomas - Perhaps I'll be interested but there is too little information here to say. It's not the $15 risk. I'm just very reluctant to make a commitment to anything unless I have a good idea of expected performance (at least historical performance) and also know the price in advance. Your teaser gives none of this information. Perhaps just tell us ranges so we can each decide if it's in our ballpark.

I am certainly interested in learning a trading style that would let me roll positions continuously; your presentation suggests this is covered. I consider myself moderately experienced at this point, having traded options daily for nearly 2 years. But I have some criteria before investing time and $$: currently I use only short term ( <3weeks DTE ) high probability managed risk trades. Being retired, I'm happy to make adjustments daily. If your technique is different from this I'd need to be convinced that it is worthwhile before I would sign up. Less important but relevant: I use OptionNET Explorer for analysis and record keeping, trade with Interactive Brokers, and prefer Google Sheets over Excel. Nevertheless I would be interested in analysis and record keeping independent of ONE. Will your spreadsheet also work with Google Sheets? Will it show a graphical risk view? A Google Sheets package that I can manually trade on IB would be fine, although working through the API would be even better. Sorry for so many questions but I think many others will have similar concerns.

I’d like to discuss this in depth, but to be honest, I don’t have the time. What I do is well known among those who follow my services — the alerts and the workshop — though you’ve never subscribed to either. So while you mentioned there weren’t many details, and that it looked more like a promo, you’re making quite a few assumptions without really knowing what’s inside.


You’re, of course, free not to join, but let’s be clear: what I do and where I’m coming from is already known to most of my clients. If you’re not one of them, I hope one day you will be. In the meantime, I’m not here to engage in discussions without understanding your background, experience, or goals.

Is the condor nest means you are trading condors or is that just a name ?
It seems like you start with calendars and than you later morph it into a condor so if that is the case I am not sure the name is appropriate

Sure! A name is just a name — when you create your own workshop, I fully encourage you to call it whatever you like. 😄
 
Thomas, I do have assumptions, it can not be avoided, but I think I assumed in your favor.

As you said I'm not your student and don't know anything about your trading - how should I? - thus my search for details of what you are offering.

Now I know at least rough price, $500 which seems reasonable (with assumption that workshop is on decent level). Other details are still missing. I did pay for my education in tuition and p&l, and am not eager to pay for black box (speaking from experience). Btw tuition money I paid were mostly a waste.

I also know, from the other post, that you include Excel sheet and yearly subscription to it, which I'm completely not interested in. I understand that this is necessary work, as existing trading platform do'nt provide maket info the way you want and, I'm positive about that, really restrict your trading, but I do trading apps on my own. I also do not use Windows (and do not intend to) so paying for that subscription doesn't make sense in my case.,

I'm writing this as info - if you see more ceases like mine, you may change your pricing structure.

My goals, and why I keep writing about Workshop.
I believe that courses and classes can be valuable steps in the beginning of trading career, but experience more important. I'm seeking open discussion between traders to exchange experiences, learning new angles, learning about differences etc. Discussion - because we all have limited time, and are not able to experience everything and also have limited abilities etc. Good discussion is a substitute for experience. This can be hardly be done with paid student-teacher format.

I understand that your time is limited and I don't request an answer (which does not mean I'm not interested).
