I would recommend Amy;s courses. She is a professional not a hype-person. She includes the backtest of the strategy as part of the course. I would pay that much if I knew that someone detailed enough is going to do the detailed backtest.Has anyone taken Amy Meissner's A14 Core Workshop? Is the performance that she claims really that good? Have people who have tried her course gotten similar results? Just curious what people think overall about the workshop and it if is worth it.
Thank you for the input. Do you trade the TimeEdge in SPY or SPX? I have both the A14 and the TimeEdge, however I mainly have been using the A14 (returning to Options). Why do you like the TimeEdge over the A14? I might have to open that class back up.I would recommend Amy;s courses. She is a professional not a hype-person. Just FYI I have ended up taking multiple of Amy;s courses and rather than A14, TimeEdge is my consistent weekly strategy.
Cheers!
Hi Robin,Thank you for the input. Do you trade the TimeEdge in SPY or SPX? I have both the A14 and the TimeEdge, however I mainly have been using the A14 (returning to Options). Why do you like the TimeEdge over the A14? I might have to open that class back up.
AmitK,Hi Robin,
The A14 uses a lot of margin from the onset and my broker(Etrade) calculates required margin differently. The margin required is little when I open the trade and then if I have the trade open in the week of expiry, the margin increases. They have not been able to explain to me the exact formula they use to calculate the margin required.
ALso I started doing the TimeEdge more often pretty much every week now, so I concentrate on that rather than A14. I trade 2 lot SPX and use the Expanded Margin adjustment method. I have found the strategy very flexible and able to perform in different market conditions. I also like to hold trades more closer to expiry (upto 2-dte, sometimes 1-dte) and I dont have the margin issue with TimeEdge.
But both strategies are great. I also did the TimeZone test but I dont do it every week because I have experienced having to adjust it a lot more than TimeEdge.
I use EtradeAmitK,
Great info.
Can I ask what broker you use? Or perhaps a better question; what is the minimum account size needed for trading 2 SPX TimeEdge using the EM adjustment?
Thanks!
