Curious if others are getting this TOS response

I seem to be getting these more often! Really annoying if you are trying to automate!

Maybe result of not manually rebooting/restarting TOS frequent enough! -- I thought I rebooted each weekend, but may have forgotten again!

Could be
I never had that problem but I always turn off my pc if I am not using it
I know Tom had a problem a few days ago where the p/l was not showing the right value as he also leaves the computer on but because of that the date on the Analyze tab is not updating to the current date so the p/l would be wrong
Probably should do a quick reboot each day if possible

Hi Gary,
I'm offering a different data point. I leave my ToS open and running all week, 24x5, running on my trading server/workstation, shutting down only on weekends. No issues such as yours. I run the TDA API as well.
I did notice issues today with my IBKR connection which seemed to be dropping a lot during the day. I wonder if there might have been connectivity or other problems on some of the wider www networks.

I kinda think TOS may have added a timer (in recent years) to insure TOS is rebooted after 7 days of being active! {I seem to recall them recommending TOS be rebooted daily} Your observation of not having the issue and reboot weekly {or sooner} matches that of Jim, who also restarts TOS weekly.
I get these TOS hangs almost weekly (not more frequent), but may be from failing to remember to bounce TOS! -- I leave my systems running 24/7.
Having to manually screw around with (restart) TOS daily would not work for me on my unattended system! If it (TOS) becomes that fragile, I'll have to replace it with a more robust solution -- not a huge issue, but postponing until effort becomes justified. --

I also use the TDA-API primarily for populating my sql db with option data, which has been very reliable for a few years.

I restart TOS every morning (if I remember). My PC stays on for weeks at a time. I do reboot it occasionally to install software or windows updates. I have 128GB of RAM and a 16 core processor so TOS hasn't have too many problems. I did notice an issue today that my ethernet connection was getting maxed out (TOS, IB and several spreadsheets open updating option prices kind of did it). When I shut down one of the larger spreadsheets it was all ok.

I"ve seen that same message from time to time, and it usually happens when I've left TOS open for more than a day. Like Tom, I shut it down at the end of the trading day.

I also read recently that detaching charts and other screens can really put a strain on the system memory.
