Two work arounds involve a VPS or a virtual desktop service like Amazon Workspaces to run ONE on a windows OS.

Hi Ivan. The issue seems to be the new M1 chips in the newer apple MacBooks. My MacBook is a little older and doesn't use the new apple chips. I've reached out to ONE a few times about this, but they keep pointing the finger at parallels. Doesn't seem like they are going to do anything about unfortunately. I've heard parallels with windows 11 has been working fine with the new MacBooks except for the ONE program. I was hoping to upgrade my laptop but this is what has kept me from doing it. The workaround ONE gave me was to get a dedicated windows laptop. Not much help I'm afraid. 
I don't use Macs nor ONE neither know about Parallels .But if one needs ONE on MAc I'd look for another VM beside Parallels, there must be at least one or two more VM hypervisors to run Windows (well should be...).
Other solution would be to run ONE in a docker container (or smth similar). Those containers are not hard to build but ONE issuer should do it with ease and put it on their web page, or dockerhub, for Mac subscribers.I don't think ONE will be much slower in a container but... thinking.. It could be. Even if so, it's better than paying for dead soft.
Some consideration also may be given to seeking advice in Mac nerd communities, but here access to ONE might be a problem.

I bought smth like this about a year ago (not the one in the link, mine was half the price). It came with Windows preinstalled. You just plug monitor, keyboard and mouse and are good to go. I needed mine for router, so I erased Win as a first thing but it can be an alternative to paying for full laptop just to run ONE. To be safe - do some research how it works with ONE and make sure you get enough RAM and all ports needed on the box.
I agree with Tom that having two separate machines for the same task (trading) can be a serious pitb on a long run. At time when I said bye-bye to Win I was subscribing to ONE, so I run it in Virtual Box (something like Parallels - I'd check if VBox run on Mac too). There was no problems with ONE but staring VBox took a while (it is full VM), so even that was pitb.
If not mistaken ONE is set on .NET. This days there should be possible to (re)write the code so it runs on any OS or at least as a web based service. I'd be surprised to learn that nobody is working on this problem.
Big advantage of ONE is access to historical data for plenty of assets. ONE does a pretty good job here. If you know sources for options data, even if limited, let me know - writing UI wont be that hard.
