Round Table George Dean Micros Trader

I watched the replay of this video and there was a suggestion to see if if this could be done on SPX
While that sounds good in principle in reality it's not the same as doing it on /ES or /MES because you can't trade SPX directly and trading options is completely different from the underlying not to mention that you need a lot of margin if you sell naked puts or calls
You could try doing it with verticals but trying to duplicate the price levels with options would be difficult if not impossible let's say you get an alert at 4497 do you trade the 4495 or the 4500 option also how much slippage will there be getting in and out of the trade

George said he would have an ES/MES service and an SPX service designed primarily for option traders. I mentioned Joe Ross used you sell puts and calls to take directional opinions. He had to do it with either futures options or in a PM account. Unfortunately, Joe died almost 2-years ago so we can't ask him. :(

It would be interesting if he could do it
I imagine he would have to change all his settings and all the overnight levels would not be of much use on a daily time frame
Also he would have to decide on an expiration time in addition to a price level and vertical type short , long, put or call

Well that is easy to say possible long. Anyone can do that. It's almost like a 50-50 chance than if it doesn't work out it's not his problem
Even if you got the right directions with options you can still loose It might be easier to do a quick in and out long straddle when there is a big move that way at least if the direction is wrong but the move is big enough you can still make a little money
