hmmm.... have you run other spreadsheets that use macros and activex controls successfully? if so it's possible
there's some other compatibility issue with my spreadsheets.
i disabled macros on my system and i didn't get a compile error when i clicked the button, it gave me a message
saying macros might not be enabled so i guess your problem is more serious than a macro issue. the month selection
on the volatility profile spreadsheet isn't an activex control, like the date picker, it's just a list selection from the
data validation option. i deleted my copy and downloaded a fresh copy from my web site and when i ran it i had to
enable editing, because it was in protected mode, and then had to enable macros, but it functioned properly.
debugging through this forum isn't feasible because we'd have to go into developer mode, but i can offer a few other
suggestions. download a fresh copy and try again. the file size should be 31,434 bytes. i also uploaded a compatibility
mode, .xls format version. you can try this one also. it's at the same url except the filename is skewdriver.xls.
as long as you already downloaded the volatility profile spreadsheet, you can see if the macros on that one function as well.
for example, if you click the clear button, it will pop-up an "are you sure" message box if it's functioning. you can just cancel
the operation.
