TOS running slow ?

Did anyone notice TOS is running slow or is it just on my pc
When I first load TOS it takes about 10-20 seconds for the data to load on the trade tab It just says waiting for data and this is after trading hours so it's not like it's got a lot of changing data to load

The analyze tab shows right away
 
I asked TD but they really did not have an answer They suggested to save the workspace and than reset to factory default but that did not make any difference It still takes about 1 minute for SPX option chain to load up Just now I got another reply and said I have to call technical support
 
Raise your RAM/Memory settings for the application, if you are able. It's that same gear icon in the lower right (left?) on the login screen.
 
Thanks but that is not the problem as it only happens after I load TOS and log in after waiting for a minute the second time I use it it works fine
I was used the live session while I was logged in and they sent me some adjustments to install in the .vmoptions file and that included some of the memory optimization but that would be for the overall performance not for one specific glitch that happens only once after log in

The last thing they suggested is to uninstall and reload TOS so I am trying to do that now I just have to make sure I manage to save everything before I uninstall it
 
Not having any luck with reinstalling TOS it still has the same problem but I found a workaround for now
I have windows 10 on a separate drive and partition and I installed TOS on that and it works there so I just made a shortcut to that drive and it's working so I will use it that way until I find the real problem
 
TOS has been running horribly slow since Schwab took over. I have 16 gb of ram, windows11, i5 CPU 3.3 Ghz and high speed internet. TOS customer support has no answers! Very frustrating!
 
Running slow overall is one thing but taking 1 minute for the options chain to load is something else
At least you have ways to speed it up by adjusting the memory settings ,reducing the amount of simulated trades or reset the workspace but so far there is no solution for the slow option chain load but I think it's somehow tied to my system since I can use the shortcut to the E drive to my desktop on the G drive and it works that way

I tried reinstalling TOS but when I start for the first time it gets stuck at installing updates and never goes past that so I can't verify if that would fix the problem with the option chains
 
I finally fixed it
It turned out it was something in the task scheduler that kept TOS from going past the install updates I disabled 12 out of 13 items that I did not know what they are for than once I reinstalling TOS that also fixed the problem with the option chains
Now it's down to about 4 seconds which is a lot more acceptable compared to 1 min or more
