TOS Not Loading This Morning

Morning all. There seems to be issues with Think or Swim (TOS) loading this morning. The loading screen seems to stall at "installing updates". I called TOS tech support and they informed me it is a system wide problem, and they are aware and working to fix it ASAP. At 8:00 am Eastern time, it had not been fixed yet on my end.

Just to follow up. Tech support contacted me and advised me to go to the TDA website and download and reinstall TOS. That worked and I am back up and running. Apparently, due to a weekend update, this affected a large swath of users but not all. Cheers!

Yes, I had the same issue yesterday Interestingly the Schwab version of TOS was working I suspect it was something to do with the transition
Another observation I noticed that the desktop shortcut color has changed from green to blue which is the same as Schwab but I asked TD about the color change and they said that it was not part of the update
You can click on the installing updates word and it will show you all the files being loaded and I noticed at one point it was stopped at the a certain web address and was saying access denied so that is why it could not finish the install updates


So I ended up downloading and installing TOS in another folder that way I don't accidentally delete any settings Then I just copied my saved workspaces over to the working tos

Another thing they said was that they will start to transition the tos account to Schwab in 2024 so than you will have just one version of tos and you would only need one user id and password to use tos for both accounts at the same time which I don't really like as you could accidentally place a trade in the wrong account so not even sure how you would select which account the trade is going to
